Hashgachah Pratit, or Divine Providence, is one of those things that people tend to either believe in entirely or not at all. Some feel that every single little episode in life has meaning because God ordained it, while others claim that there is no such thing as Providence, and therefore everything is totally random. What does “Divine Providence” really mean?
Does God really care about animals and insects? Does my dog have Divine Providence too? Are there different degrees of Divine Providence among people, or is everyone the same? Does one’s earnings depend on skill? is it mere chance or is it Divine Providence?
