Mr. Stan Lebovic is the son of a holocaust survivor and brings us on a journey through his personal struggle reconciling the destruction of Europe and Torah. His art is grabbing and deep and his message penetrates the heart through this thought provocative presentation.

“In order to avoid confusion, I wanted to illustrate the young arm as embracing the elder. That would alleviate any uncertainty as to whether the arm is being dragged down or pulled up. But I was unable to bring myself to render the piece with the younger generation seen actively ‘helping’ the generation of survivors.
The truth is actually the opposite. All subsequent generations will owe their existence to the survival of the survivors. Therefore, the best I could do is illustrate the closed passive fist of the young generation firmly held by the heroes of the Holocaust.”
